Stretch was briefed to create an event around MEC’s proposition – ‘Inspiring people’ and ‘producing exceptional results’. A multi event 2 day conference in Barcelona started with a Beach Bar welcome party at Shoko with Metro Newspaper. Iraq war veteran Phil Packer provided inspiration for the creative team activities. Guinness World Records were drafted in to devise a World Record breaking afternoon to raise funds for MEC charities. Teams of 10 attempted a total of 41 records, including a 300 strong group record for the ‘Largest Superman Dance’ ever attempted in 80’s gear. A total of 15 world records were set/broken on the day and an incredible £31k raised for charity. The final event element was a formal Gala Dinner and MEC’s first ever internal Awards ceremony and after party.
Director Drew Englebright said: “Breaking 15 world records over the course of the event was amazing. It really helped bring our company together”.
